How to scan an offline registry.
Load at least the system and software Hive from the
offline registry into the local registry,
as mentioned here.
Close regedit whitout unload the offline Hives.
Run Adaware now and scan the registry. If some bad entries are found in the
offline Hives,
clean them.
Run regedit again and unload the offline Hives (they will be saved now at the
original place)
